Russell's work is soul-searching, reflective honesty at its finest. He doesn't pull any punches, but he's also not in a fight, and that's the exact liminal state I want my authors writing from!
Alisa is a very interesting writer! She'll keep you guessing but never guessing right, and it's not intentional or cliche; she just has an imagination and sense of story telling that naturally entertains but also provokes deep thoughts.
Jesse Hirsch is doing the impossible because he thinks it's possible and the more he does it, the more I believe it is possible. He's tackling journalism with ethics, integrity, and a zeal for honest, earnest information that can help humanity. The best part of his service is that it comes out daily, in manageable chunks, so you never feel overwhelmed, but you always feel informed!
Ien has a sharp, discerning eye that digs deep into the central themes of humanity that confound all of us, but he uses a hands-off approach that envelops the reader and takes us back to that feeling we had when we were kids, reading past bedtime, under the covers with a flashlight, praying for the tale to never end...
Jenks is a humanitarian, philosopher, civil rights activist, and gifted writer. No matter what topic he chooses to write about, the prose and profound content will thrill you!
This is a very diverse substack with tremendously humorous yet also profoundly insightful essays. But sometimes it's just silly, and both types of content are excellent.
